In Mexico the hotel had a beautiful beach with white sand, very nice clear water, and pelicans flying around everywhere. I could have stayed there the entire day just taking in the scenery but when it comes to beaches, Elliot and Sienna are not like most other kids. After less than an hour they will have had their fun and will be ready to move on, no matter how attractive the beach might be. We would hit the beach almost every morning before the heat picked up, but after a bit of playing in the waves and making sand sculptures they always wanted to go back to the pool area.
I almost never go anywhere without my camera, but this September afternoon at the beach was one of the few exceptions to the rule. Of course there was some of the most beautiful light that day so I snapped this picture with my phone and figured it would serve as a good reminder never to leave my real camera behind again.
Due to the exceptionally warm and sunny summer in Denmark this year there has been a lot of trips to the beach.
The weather continues to be consistently cold with snow still lying around in some places, but there has been many sunny days so during the holiday we seized the opportunity to get outside and go for some walks in the forest and on the beach.
